Hi, I’m Cody Butler, a relationship coach and founder of Better Marriage. I want to share with you today what to do if your wife is saying that she’s not in love with you anymore.
To solve this problem and turn it around, we need to go back to the beginning of the relationship and understand why your wife fell in love with you in the first place. There were only two reasons: she felt great around you and loved the way you made her feel, and she saw that a future with you was considerably better than a future without you. When you put these two things together, it’s natural to fall in love and be together.
The exact opposite is happening if she’s saying that she doesn’t love you anymore. She no longer likes the way that she feels around you and is starting to see that a future without you may be better than a future with you. When we understand this, we can start to go to work on the problem effectively. We need to make her feel great about herself or present a version of yourself that makes her feel great about herself when she’s around you. She also needs to see a future with you as better than a future without you. When she sees these two things, she will fall in love with you again.
We also have to understand that attraction and feelings of love are behaviorally made. People are attracted to our behavior, or they’re repulsed by it. Therefore, it’s simply a matter of understanding what behavior will make her feel good about herself and what behavior will make her feel bad about herself. We also need to present a future for her that she can buy into.
If you can make her feel good about herself and present a bright future for her, she will start to fall in love with you again. When you do this, she will start to warm up to you, and those emotions will come back very quickly.
