I Need to Save My Marriage Now: When you are having trouble in your marriage, it can be nerve-wracking thinking about what you will need to do to fix it. Even the idea of scheduling a date night can give you nervous sweats.

Here are a few strategies you can use to help save your marriage.

1. Do Something Nice

A troubled marriage can be the source of many negative thoughts about your spouse and what they may have done wrong. This way of thinking is counterproductive to a healthy relationship and pointless because no one is perfect.
Instead of obsessing over what you think your spouse should do for you, do something nice for them. This isn’t a one-off task. Instead, try to do something nice for your partner at least a few times a week. It can be simple, like doing the dishes, cooking dinner, or hugging and letting them know how much you appreciate them.

2. Do Something Adventurous Together

Marriage problems can develop because couples aren’t spending enough quality time together. You can change this by doing something adventurous and fun as a couple.

Try doing something you haven’t done before, like a canoe trip, camping, or take that trip to the bed and breakfast you always planned but never got around to.
The most important thing is to break the monotony of everyday life and reconnect with the person who stole your heart all those years ago.

3. Talk About Behaviour Instead of Feelings

When you talk about your feelings instead of your partner’s behaviour, it can put them on the defensive. Instead, try focusing on how their behaviour is creating challenges for you.
For example, instead of yelling at a partner who is constantly late for dinner with phrases like “You’re late again, that’s so rude,” you could try a different strategy.
Let them know that it’s challenging for you to prepare a nice dinner when you don’t know when they will be getting home. This way, you let them know how you feel without directly attacking them.

4. Schedule The Difficult Conversations

Open and honest communication is one of the keys to solving marital problems. However, there are limits on how much and when you can listen. For instance. when you are busy preparing dinner or helping kids with homework is not a good time to talk about your lack of sex life or living arrangements for their aging parents,
When you are busy with other things, it’s almost impossible to stay focused on such a meaningful discussion and even more difficult to make rational decisions.
You must remain calm while letting your partner know that you are open to discussion, just at a more appropriate time.

5. List Three Things You Can Do Right Now

We all know a few things we can do today to make our partners smile. Clean the car, vacuum the floor, or do the morning school routine to give them a little sleep in. These are all easy things to do, but they can deliver a lot of joy, so list down a bunch of things you can do to make your partner happy and start doing them today.
